About Subhadrashree
In a bold step towards empowering women, the SubhadraShree Mission is a Central Project executed by PPP mode, which assist Subhadra Yojana and this emerges as a game-changing initiative in Odisha.
Inspired by the Subhadra Yojana and drawing insights from Delhi’s recently launched Nari Samman Yojana, this flagship mission is designed to uplift women by blending financial support, digital literacy, and social security — all under one powerful program.
Imagine a future where women are not just managing their households but also thriving as entrepreneurs, decision-makers, and digitally empowered citizens.
The SubhadraShree Mission aims to turn that vision into reality.
The SubhadraShree Mission is not a direct government initiative project; it thrives on the strength of strategic Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
By collaborating with key stakeholders from various sectors, the mission ensures effective implementation, broader outreach, and long-term sustainability.
This flagship scheme, to financially empower women, and provide safety nets to them and their families. This is a comprehensive initiative that aims to uplift women through multiple facets of their lives and strengthen a social fabric that provides women with the tools and opportunities for their empowerment.
The Odisha government’s recently announced Subhadra Yojana has stirred controversy, with many calling it a disappointing gesture rather than a meaningful step toward women’s empowerment.
While Odisha’s plan offers ₹10,000 per year to women, Delhi’s Mahila Samman Yojana promises a far more impactful ₹30,000 annually.
This stark contrast has left many questioning the sincerity of Odisha’s commitment to its mothers and sisters. Critics argue that what’s being hailed as a tribute to women’s dignity — the much-publicized NariAsmita — feels more like a token effort when compared to the more substantial support seen elsewhere.
